Good evening Brothers and Sisters.  I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for performing your duties at work during these very tough times.  Through these demanding times, I have noticed how we rely on each other.  We all create a chain with each link being equally as strong.  Thank you once again.  

We should have been having our Memorial this Sunday and paying tribute to our fallen.  We would have seen all 31 people on the wall after 22 years of planning.  The Memorial Committee has done some great work over the past few years to get this completed.  

The Executive Board and FMT have been working on all the issues that have created some issues for all of us.  We communicate daily coming up with solutions to the many issues that arise.  I would like to thank FMT for being open and honest with us dealing with the day to day issues.  

The Coronavirus is going to be with us for an extended period of time.  We have to practice social distancing, wash our hands, and keep the stations and trucks disinfected.  We have to do all we can to make the workplace as safe as it can be.  We have to be diligent in doing these tasks, it is the only defense we have.  

We are still working on many issues, the board is now set up with a zoom account and over the next week, we will start using this platform to inform the membership.  The first meeting will be a town hall type session with you being able to ask questions through the chat.  We will try to have people to interview and you will have the ability to ask questions or at least submit questions before the interview takes place.  Some of the people on the list are Steve Laforet, Mayor Dilkens, Health Unit, and IAFF personnel.  If you have any other suggestions let us know.  

We have to stay strong and together during these unchartered times.
